Ancient excavations of the 11th—13th century City Wall - These archaeological excavations are located under the highway and are valuable evidence of how the city has developed over the centuries. The walls found here remind of the defensive fortifications of Tbilisi and its importance in the past.

A trip along the Georgian Military Road

Kakheti City Tour
Today we are waiting for an exciting trip to one of the most picturesque and historically rich regions of Georgia — Kakheti. This region is famous for its wineries, ancient monasteries and stunning natural landscapes.
Gombor Pass and Telavi
Let's start the journey through the Gombor pass, located at an altitude of 1,620 meters above sea level. From the top there are amazing views of mountains, valleys and vast expanses, which makes the journey even more exciting.
After that, we will head to Telavi, the capital of the region, where we will be greeted by a Sycamore Tree, a majestic tree that is more than 900 years old. It is not only a natural, but also a cultural landmark of the city, symbolizing its ancient history.
Tsinandali and Kindzmarauli wine
Then we will go to Tsinandali, a small village famous for its park and the residence of the Chavchavadze princes. Here we can feel the atmosphere of ancient Georgia and learn more about the princely family that played an important role in the country's history.
Gastronomy of Kakheti
Kakheti is famous for its unique cuisine, including delicious meat dishes and cheese. We will enjoy not only the taste of wine, but also the gastronomic masterpieces of this region.
The ancient monastery of Nekresi
We will end the day with a visit to Nekresi, a monastery of the IV century, which stands on a cliff above the Alazani Valley. This is one of the most revered and ancient sanctuaries of Georgia, where you can experience the atmosphere of peace and grandeur of the ancient religious tradition.

After a busy day, we will spend the night at the Shaloshvili winery, one of the best places in the region, where we can relax, enjoy the atmosphere of the winery and, of course, taste even more local wines. Let's not miss the chance to taste the famous Kindzmarauli wine, a four-time world and European champion. This wine, which has a unique taste, has become a hallmark of Shaloshvili and holds the title of one of the best wines in the world.
Fifth day
Sighnaghi and Bodby Monastery
Today, our journey will continue through Kakheti, where we will find some of the most romantic and spiritually intense places in the region.
Sighnaghi — the city of love
The first point on our route will be Sighnaghi, known as the "city of love". This amazing place is located on picturesque terraces covered with greenery and surrounded by flowers. The narrow, winding streets of Sighnaghi, old houses with balconies and views of the Alazani Valley create an atmosphere of peace and romance. Sighnaghi is rightfully considered one of the most beautiful cities in Georgia, as well as the "city of brides", where you can get married at any time of the day.
A walk through these streets will give you a lot of positive emotions and inspire you.
Bodby Monastery
Not far from Sighnaghi, in a picturesque mountainous area, is the Bodby Monastery. This sacred complex is one of the most important in Georgia. The relics of Saint Nino, a Christian missionary who brought Christianity to Georgia in the 4th century, are kept here. The monastery is a place of pilgrimage for believers, and the territory itself inspires reflection and tranquility. A particularly strong impression is made by the holy spring next to the monastery, which is said to be able to cure many diseases.
Cheese and wine tasting
After immersing ourselves in the atmosphere of spirituality, we will enjoy the exquisite tastes of the region. Kakheti is known not only for its wines, but also for its amazing cheeses. We will visit a local cheese factory, where we will taste the best varieties of Georgian cheese, and then go to a wine tasting to end the day on a high note.

The sixth day
Gori and Uplistsikhe
Today, our journey will take us to Gori, Joseph Stalin's hometown, where we will visit the Stalin State Museum. Founded during Stalin's lifetime, this museum is a unique facility that reveals the details of the Soviet leader's life and political career. Here you can see Stalin's personal belongings, photographs, documents, as well as the old railway platform on which he rode. Diving into the history of the 20th century and visiting such historical sites is an integral part of traveling around Georgia.
Uplistsikhe: An ancient cave city
After Gori, we will go to Uplistsikhe, one of the most ancient and significant archaeological sites in Georgia. It is a cave city carved directly into the rocks, and dates back to the II-I millennium BC. Uplistsikhe was an important cultural, religious and commercial center in ancient times. The city has preserved more than 700 caves and various structures, including palaces, temples, bakeries and secret tunnels. A walk through this ancient city will allow you to feel the atmosphere of bygone eras and imagine how people lived and worked here more than two thousand years ago.
Borjomi: Nature and mineral water
We will end our day in Borjomi, a famous resort located in a green gorge on the banks of the Kura River. We will walk through the picturesque Borjomi Gorge, enjoy the beauty of the surrounding mountains and nature, and visit Borjomi Park. Here you can taste the famous Borjomi mineral water, known for its healing properties. The water, which is extracted from local sources, has been used for many years to treat diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and other diseases.

At the end of the tour, we will go to Akhaltsikhe, where we will spend the night in a cozy hotel. Akhaltsikhe is a small but charming city in the south of Georgia, famous for its historical monuments, among which Rabat Fortress stands out.
Here, in the picturesque surroundings of nature, we can relax and prepare for the next day of our trip.
Seventh day
Vardzia and Rabat
Today, our route will take us to two of the most stunning historical and cultural places in Georgia — Vardzia and Rabat.
Vardzia — Cave monastery of the XII-XIII centuries
In the morning we will go to Vardzia, an incredibly beautiful and historically significant cave complex carved into the rocks on the banks of the Kura River. This monastery was built in the XII-XIII centuries, during the reign of Tsar George III and his daughter Queen Tamara, and is a unique monument of Georgian architecture. Vardzia is an entire city consisting of more than 3,000 caves, including churches, living quarters, warehouses, baths and secret tunnels.
The construction of this monastery lasted 20 years, and despite time and natural disasters, the complex still impresses with its power and scale. We will take a walk through this ancient city, enjoy the views of the surrounding mountains and the Kura River, and also see traces of the former luxury and spiritual life that once boiled within these walls.
Rabat Fortress and historical complex
After visiting Vardzia, we will go to Rabat, an ancient fortress founded in 1578. Rabat is located in the city of Akhaltsikhe and has been an important strategic site in different historical eras. This fortress has experienced several seizures and reconstructions in its time, and today its walls tell about the great history of Georgia. We will walk around the fortress, explore the numerous architectural monuments, temples, mosques and synagogues that harmoniously coexist with each other, reflecting the multicultural atmosphere of the region
Special attention should be paid to the medieval part of the fortress and its magnificent walls, which once protected the city from external threats. Rabat is a place where you can experience the atmosphere of former greatness and history.

The eighth day
Motsameta and Gelati
Today is an exciting day full of spiritual and historical discoveries, as well as nature delights.
Motsameta Monastery of Saints David and Constantine
Our journey will begin with a visit to Motsameta, a monastery founded in the 11th century by Tsar Bagrat III in honor of Saints David and Constantine. This monastery is located in a picturesque area, surrounded by greenery and is located on a hill, which offers breathtaking views of the mountains and the surrounding area. Motsameta, with its domeless church, is an example of unique Georgian architecture and a symbol of the country's spiritual heritage.
Special attention should be paid to the interior of the monastery, as well as the very atmosphere that fills this place. This place inspires reflection and gives peace of mind.
Gelati Monastery is the historical center of Georgia
Then we will head to Gelati, one of the most important monasteries in Georgia, founded in 1106 by King David IV the Builder. Gelati is not only an important religious center, but also a cultural heritage of Georgia. The relics of David the Builder, one of the greatest rulers of Georgia, are kept here, and the monastery itself is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Gelati Monastery is famous for its beautiful frescoes and unique architecture, as well as its historical importance. We will be able to see the tomb of King David and immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of grandeur and sanctity of this place.
We will end the day with a walk along Shaori Lake, an artificial reservoir located in the picturesque Shaori basin. This place is famous for its nature — turquoise waters and green mountains around. The ninth day
The Magic Crayfish
Today we will travel to the heart of mountainous Georgia, where we will discover unexplored corners of nature.
Our day will start with a visit to Gonu, one of the most hidden and little-known resorts in Georgia, located at an altitude of 1600 meters above sea level. This place attracts travelers with its amazing nature and secluded atmosphere. Gona is an ideal place for those who want to enjoy the clean mountain air, peace and natural harmony. Here you can relax surrounded by green forests full of coniferous trees and enjoy the aromas of alpine meadows.
Racha is a mountainous region located in the western part of Georgia, in the highlands of the Caucasus, and is known for its amazing views, clean springs, and unique culture.
We will visit local attractions, including medieval temples, ancient villages and unique architecture that harmoniously fits into the mountainous landscape. Here you can also get acquainted with the local winemaking traditions and taste the unique wines produced in the region.

After an eventful day filled with natural and cultural discoveries, we will return to Ambrolauri, where we will spend the night in a cozy hotel, enjoying the silence of the mountains and the fresh air.
The tenth day
Nakerala and Mravaldzali
Today we are waiting for an exciting journey along the mountain roads of Georgia, which will open up unusual and impressive views.
Nakerala Pass and Tskhradjvari peak
We will start the day with a trip through the Nakerala pass, which is located at an altitude of 1,565 meters above sea level and is one of the most picturesque passes in Georgia. Here, at the top of Tskhradjvari, we will have not only a breathtaking panoramic view of the mountain landscapes, but also an ancient temple with nine crosses, which stands on the very top of the mountain. The temple was built many centuries ago and is an important historical landmark of the region. This place offers one of the most beautiful views of the Rachinsky region, which will leave an unforgettable impression. You can walk along the trails and enjoy the views of mountain peaks, green valleys and picturesque forests.
Mravaldzali — Highland village and temple
Then we will go to Mravaldzali, a high mountain village located at an altitude of 1,840 meters. Mravaldzali is a place with a rich history, and in the past it was an important center of the region. The village is famous not only for its nature, but also for the Mravaldzali temple, which was rebuilt after the earthquake of 1991. The temple is decorated with ornaments and bas-reliefs, and is a place of power that attracts pilgrims and tourists. Mravaldzali is surrounded by magnificent mountain landscapes, and in this place you can feel true harmony with nature.

The eleventh day
Kumistavi and Martvili Canyon
Today we will have an unforgettable journey through one of the most unique corners of Georgia, where nature reveals its most mysterious and majestic features.
Let's start the day with a visit to Prometheus Cave (Kumistavi), the largest cave in Georgia. This natural attraction opens up an underground world full of stalactites, stalagmites and bizarre rock formations. We will take a walk through the underground lakes, which makes the journey through the cave especially magical and mysterious. The cave was opened in 1984 and has since become a popular tourist destination. There are well-equipped hiking trails inside the cave, allowing you to explore its beauty in safety. A walk along the underground rivers and lakes will be unforgettable, and every step will fill us with a sense of the greatness of nature.
Martvili Canyon
After an exciting experience of the underworld, we will go to the Martvili Canyon, which is a real natural wonder. This canyon is located in the western part of Georgia and is famous for its waterfalls and amazing blue lakes with clear water. Here we can enjoy hiking along the scenic trails, walk through the canyon, enjoying the splendor of nature. One of the highlights is the Martvili Waterfall, which falls from a great height, creating an impressive sight. Dinosaur footprints were also found in the canyon, which makes this place unique and important for world science.

In the evening, you can enjoy a walk along the waterfront, as well as appreciate the beauty of this seaside town.

The twelfth day
Batumi and mountainous Adjara
Today we will fully immerse ourselves in the atmosphere of Batumi, the pearl of the Black Sea coast of Georgia, and explore the splendor of this modern and at the same time historical part of the country, with unique natural and architectural attractions.
Batumi
Batumi is not only sandy beaches and beautiful views, but also one of the most dynamically developing tourist destinations in Georgia. We will start the day with a walk along the embankment, which offers an incredible panorama of the Black Sea. Ancient buildings and modern architecture have merged in this city. In Batumi, you can see both historical buildings and ultramodern skyscrapers, among which the Alphabeta Tower stands out, reflecting the Georgians' love of science, and the free Ferris wheel, offering a breathtaking view of the entire city.
A walk along the embankment will give us the opportunity to admire the dry and green beaches and enjoy the atmosphere of the city, its outdoor cafes and restaurants, as well as historical corners. You can take photos against the background of famous places such as Europa Square, Dolphinarium and the famous Batumi Art Center.
Mahuentseti Waterfall
After a walk around the city, we will head to the vicinity of Batumi towards the Makhuentseti waterfall, one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Adjara, which is located in the mountains. This waterfall is not as famous as the others, but its impregnable beauty and solitude give this place a special magic. The waterfall is hidden among the greenery of subtropical forests, and its water jet falls from a height, creating a delightful sight.
A walk to the waterfall will give you incredible emotions and the feeling of being in a real natural paradise. It is an ideal place to enjoy the silence and the atmosphere of unspoilt nature.
The ancient bridge of Queen Tamara
Our next stop will be the ancient bridge of Queen Tamara, located near the waterfall. This historic bridge was built in the 12th century during the reign of Georgian Queen Tamara and connects the two banks of the mountain river. It is an important historical monument, embodying the power and wisdom of the ruling dynasty. The bridge, surrounded by picturesque landscapes, is a great place for relaxation and photo shoots.

After a busy day, we will return to Batumi, where you will have the opportunity to enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants overlooking the sea, taste fresh seafood and taste unique dishes of Adjara cuisine.

Today we are going to Tskaltubo, famous for its mineral springs and therapeutic resorts. This small resort town was a popular holiday destination back in Soviet times, and today it continues to attract tourists due to its healing waters and picturesque surroundings.
Tskaltubo is famous for its radon baths, which have many healing properties, including helping to recover from diseases of the musculoskeletal system and improve overall well-being. We will visit the Tskaltubo Plaza sanatorium, where you can not only relax, but also undergo wellness treatments using radon and hydrogen sulfide waters. These baths are known for helping to restore strength and improve the functioning of the nervous system. Time for rest and relaxation in such a wonderful place will be most beneficial for your health.
A walk through Tskaltubo
In addition to the procedures in the sanatoriums, we will be able to stroll through Tskaltubo itself, explore the ancient buildings left over from the old days, and enjoy the unique architecture of the city.
